Mr. Dickson is a Founding Partner of NEWSTAR and serves as the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of Asset Management. In this role, he oversees all leasing, property management, and capital expenditure activity for the NEWSTAR’s operating portfolio and supports NEWSTAR’s pursuit of new investment opportunities.

Mr. Dickson has 25 years of commercial real estate experience. Prior to joining NEWSTAR, Mr. Dickson served as an Executive Vice President for Preferred Apartment Communities, where he oversaw a portfolio of approximately 3,300 residential units and more than 3 million square feet of commercial property, and before that he led the Asset Management team for Cousins where he was responsible for 8.5 million square feet and played a key role in developing and managing the execution of annual leasing, profitability, and capital expenditure objectives across the portfolio. 

Mr. Dickson holds a B.S. in Accounting and Finance from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida.
